Resin 3d Printed Gear Box
Description
This is a resin 3d printed gear box with a designed reduction of 157.276 to 1. It was built for a buddy who wanted to encode the position of a motor that had a lot of displacement. It was designed to work with the AS5600 which is a high precision magnetic rotary position sensor. It was also a way for me to experiment with resin 3d printing and to see how well it could print the detail of the gear teeth. A normal filament 3d printer could never print teeth with as much detail as shown above. This allows me to design a desired pressure angle and have it actually show up properly in the part which allows control of backlash in the gears.
